If your electric fireplace heater won t turn on won t heat or the fan is blowing cold air. Some units tend to have a separate switch for the heating element so make sure it s on. On my electric fireplace the heater switches won t work and the heater won t turn on unless the main power switch is on. You need to have a look whether the heating element is working.

There is excessive noise coming out of the heater. Ensure that the main power switch on the fireplace is turned on. Most parts can be ordered directly from the manufacturer and installed quickly and easily. This problem occurs when the thermostat is set too low below room temperature preventing it from turning on.

Ensure that the fireplace is plugged in and turned on at the wall. The heater is either dirty or defective. The problem also occurs when a wire becomes loose causing it to fail to make a connection. If the electric heater fan comes on when you turn on the heater but no heat seems to be coming out you could have a blown circuit or there may be a break in the actual heater coil.
